The Prime Minister is following up on the procedures for unified procurement of the requirements of the Decent Life Initiative

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up the position of the unified procurement procedures for the requirements of the presidential initiative "A Decent Life", to develop the Egyptian countryside, in a meeting that included Dr. Assem El-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production. And Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Major General Ihab El-Far, Chairman of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces, Engineer Mohamed Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and officials of the ministries and relevant authorities.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed that this meeting was aimed at following up the steps of the unified procurement of tasks and requirements for the presidential initiative "A Decent Life" to develop the Egyptian countryside, stressing that the volume of work in the projects of this initiative is very large, and there is continuous follow-up by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, for each Projects and their details, and we are ready to pay advance payments to factories and companies for supplies for a period of 3 years, which will depend on products from local factories.

 

 

 

Madbouly stressed that the aim of relying on Egyptian products in this initiative is to encourage national industry, as well as to obtain price cuts and savings due to the unprecedented volume of business and requirements that will be purchased during the initiative's projects.

 

 

 

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly directed that the ministries and concerned authorities, within a week, agree on all the details of all the requirements and tasks required to implement the various projects in the 51 targeted centers in the first phase, where another meeting will be held after the expiration of this period, to review the prices and quantities required for the completion of the contract system Unified procurement, in order to present the final vision to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

 

 

 

The Minister of Housing presented a report on the tasks required for the drinking water and sanitation system, which is an important and central sector within the projects of the "Decent Life" initiative, within the framework of the state's interest in improving the services provided to citizens in the targeted villages. The presentation detailed the tasks required to implement water and treatment plants. Lifting stations, piping for downhill networks and expulsion lines, and specifying the specifications required of each job.

 

 

 

For his part, Eng. Muhammad Al-Suwaidi pointed out the importance of this project in supporting the national industry, stressing that the volume of work required will actually contribute to providing reduced prices for the requirements of the project, explaining that all factories and companies will be addressed to determine their capacity for the required production and the different varieties and agree on the best prices. Noting that there is intense enthusiasm and willingness in the industry sector to participate in this initiative and everyone will work for its success.
